B1) Cutting Thickness

The major point to consider is the thickness of the material you will be cutting. The power of plasma source is the most important aspect affecting cutting thickness. It is better to choose a plasma cutter capable of cutting thicker than your maximum cutting thickness. It may seem like you are buying more than you need, but it will provide you with the capability to cut thicker material when needed, and provide you with higher quality, higher precision cuts.

B2) Cutting Quality

Cutting quality is another important aspect of CNC Plasma Cutter. The quality of the cut ultimately effects the overall quality of the part as well as the time spent in secondary operations like scrap cutting. Automa offers advanced, precision plasma systems provide tight focused arc providing a cleaner, higher accuracy cut.

B3) Torch Height Controller (THC)

The torch height control uses arc voltage to maintain a consistent distance from the plate while the torch is cutting. Machines equipped with THC maintain proper torch height regardless of variations in the material, or flatness of the cutting bed.

B4) Table Size

Automa Arc CNC Plasma Cutter offers table size up to 3m wide and 13m long. Just decide maximum sheet size you are planning to cut.

B5) Fume Control System

Automa machines are equipped with a fume extraction system to eliminate harmful gases released during cutting operation. Fume vents are activated below the cutting area of the table and harmful fumes are sent to filtering system.

B6) Availability of Consumables

After the initial purchase, the most critical recurring cost will be the cutting tips and electrodes, also known as consumables. Before buying the CNC plasma cutter, determine how quickly you will be able to obtain these consumables. Damaged tips and the worn-out electrode can affect your machine’s cutting speed or alter the quality of your cuts.
