Automa offers three axis Portal 3X, four axis Portal 4X five axis Portal 5X systems perfectly suited for pattern and mold making applications. Shallow three-dimensional patterns and molds without undercuts can be easily machined on three axis systems. Deeper and undercut patterns require five axis or rotary tables can be equipped on Portal 3X and 4X systems.
These machines can accommodate small parts or larger parts up to 1200mm. Significantly larger items can also be machined in layers.
Portal can machine all materials typically used for patterns and molds including wood, MDF, EPS or polyurethane foam and most non-ferrous metals.
